Sehat First believes that quality healthcare is a basic human right. It must be made accessible, affordable and accountable. In order to do just that, the company plans to set up 500 Sehat First Health Centers across Pakistan by 2012.
Services provided by the Sehat First Franchised Health Clinics include:
• Antenatal Checkups
• Post-natal Checkups
• Neonatal Care
• Family Planning
• Child Vaccination and TT Vaccination
• Growth Monitoring of under three Children
• Health Awareness
• IMNCI Services
• Treatment of Minor ailments according to WHO criteria
(Malaria, ARI, Diarrhea, skin diseases and STI
Services are provided both through medical professional where available and through telehealth services where medical professional are not available, all at an affordable price.
As the basis of its franchised model, Sehat first is responsible for the creation and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures as well as assurance of quality of services, while the individual entrepreneurs take the lead in social marketing and awareness creation. Data Collection and Monitoring of Performance are also key features of the process design.
CREATING A “HEALTH VALUE CHAIN”
Sehat First recognizes that in order to have real impact in health, a true “value chain” must be in place and functioning. Key components of the value chain include preventive care, “filter clinics”, quality primary care, access to medications, referral networks, patient transport and affordable tertiary care when required.
