Sehat First Franchise Owners are usually local community citizens who have experience as entrepreuners, Health Workers, and Doctors. Establishling a Sehat First Center provides an opportunity to earn a good income, while developing their skills and helping the people in their own communities.
A prime example is Mohammad Siddique ( BABU) who has served as the local "munshi cum dispenser" at a government clinic in Chasma Goth, Karachi for the past 10 years. The Basic Health Unit (BHU) was not able to provide medical care and was run down due to a lack of both human and fiscal resources.
With the district Government's blessing, BABU agreed to become a Sehat First Clinic Owner. With assistance from the SF team, the dilapadated building was converted into a fresh , clean Pharamacy, Medical Clinic, telecenter and a general store.
Babu has hired assistants to help him run the general store and the medical clinic and runs the pharmacy himself.
A dynamic community member, BABU is excited at the possibilities this clinic
offers both himself and his community.
